Canggu has a lot of tattoo places. Some of them are genuinely good. But if you’re planning a custom piece — something that takes half a day or more, something you want to look at in ten years — it’s worth thinking about the drive south. Uluwatu is about 30 minutes from Canggu on a clear run. We’ve had clients from Canggu, Berawa, Batu Bolong who make the trip specifically because the studio and the work are worth it.
Samadhi is a 200 m² space on the Bukit Peninsula — proper ventilation, proper lighting, equipment that isn’t shared between three artists working back to back. If you’re already committing to a half-day tattoo, adding 30 minutes of travel to work with a specialist makes sense.
