What does a good tattoo actually cost?

Tattoo prices in Bali range from souvenir flash for a few hundred thousand rupiah to gallery-grade custom work. At Samadhi the price is set by four things: size, level of detail, placement, and the number of sessions. The minimum per session is 1,500,000 IDR (about 90 USD) — custom design, single-use needles and cartridges, and aftercare instructions included. No hidden charges.

1,500,000 IDR per session — about 90 USD. That covers small to medium pieces finished in one sitting: fine line, mini portraits, botanical designs. The price includes the custom design, single-use materials, and aftercare instructions.
Four things: size, level of detail (realism with soft gradients takes longer than simple linework), placement (some areas are slower to work on), and the number of sessions. Send a reference, the placement, and a rough size on WhatsApp — we reply with a concrete number.
Full sleeves start at 15,000,000 IDR across 7–12 sessions — you can split them over several trips to Bali. Back pieces are quoted individually after a free in-studio consultation. Large projects always start with a complete composition design.
A half-day (around 4 hours) starts at 1,500,000 IDR, a full day from 2,500,000 IDR. For large-scale black-and-grey realism the full day is the most efficient format — the composition develops without losing momentum. We are open daily 10–22.
